Anytime I'm at Bayview Village, I will indulge in some girlie time and admire all the pretty things in Belle de Provence and Teatro Verde. One of the things I looked at was a gorgeously wrapped soap bar. They always look great in bathrooms. But after gasping at the price tag, I swiftly returned it to the display counter.
The problem with those beautifully wrapped luxury soaps (in addition to exorbitant pricing) is that I never want to open them. Ever. They just look so nice all prettied up and on display. Of course, this means that the actual bar of soap doesn't get used and so all that moisturizing, exfoliating, and lathering goodness goes to waste. Such a shame. So I decided I would buy some cheap soaps that I would intentionally never use and make them look like fancy soap. Have a looky below:
This is where I was originally looking at the pretty soaps. So lovely.
But mine came from this: A $5 bag of Ivory soap bars.
Add to that an assortment of scrapbooking paper and some rafia.
And voila! Pretty soap!
