Recipe Organization
I LOVE that I own a growing collection of cookbooks. The common denominator for my books is that they all must be filled with inspiring photographs. This is because I love to sit and peruse them even when I know I'm not going to be using them specifically for a recipe. It's like escaping into someone else's kitchen for awhile. I'm especially fond of Ina Garten, Giada de Laurentiis and anything from William Sonoma. I needed some way to keep track of the recipes I use most often, so I picked up a recipe box and a coupon organizer 'cause I got tired of rummaging through my unorganized wallet.
Let me tell you, this little box has saved me massive time. Gone are the days of "Which book had that great fish dish?" or "Which online file contains that recipe?"
The best part of using recipe cards? The one I'm using gets put up on the fridge where it's not taking up precious counter space, and not getting dirty with messy fingers or spilled flour. THIS is a box of domestic bliss.
Happy cooking.
